PIRATES UNDER NO KINGS: A Kid Pirates Zine is a zine dedicated to Captain Eustass Kid and the Kid Pirates! This zine will be both physical and digital with an add-on zine for both ship and NSFW content.

What is this zine about?P.U.N.K. is a zine that focuses on the Kid Pirates! Both canonverse and alternative universe content will be allowed in the main zine!Will the zine be digital or physical? Is this zine for-profit or for-charity?Both the physical and digital zine will be A5 with a selection of both physical merch.This zine is for-profit/for-charity split. Once contributor bundles have been sorted, the remaining profits will be split amongst contributors and a charity (tbd).What is the rating of the zine?The main zine will be PG-16 with manga-violence allowed.The digital add-on zine will be for both shipping content AND NSFW with both sexual and violent content allowed. Shipping pieces do NOT have to be NSFW.Do I have to create a new piece for the zine?Yes, a new piece will need to be created for the zine.What is the age requirement of the zine?All contributors must be over 18 at time of application.Does my application need to include One Piece content?Though One Piece content is preferred, it is not required that you have created fanworks for One Piece to apply.How will contributors be compensated?At minimum, all contributors will receive a free digital copy and all digital merch.Should profits allow, we will try to compensate each contributor with a bundle for free.How many contributors are you accepting?We are aiming to accept 25 Artists, 5 Writers, 3 Spot Artists, and 3 Merch Artists. This does NOT include guests.Will previous experience be needed in order to apply?No! You don’t need to have been in a zine before to apply!Can I post WIPs during the creation period?No, all work that pertains to your zine piece is not allowed to be shared whether it’s a social media post or streaming. There will be a designated preview period where a portion of your piece will be shown, but you are not allowed to share your piece until directed to by the mod team.

Application Requirements💀 All applicants will be required to submit three (3) samples of their best work.💀 A portfolio with at least five (5) additional works. This can be an ao3 works page, a carrd, drive folder, etc. Please do not provide a link to your social media.💀 One Piece samples are preferred by not required.💀 Writers: Pieces must be under 1.5k words. Excerpts are okay but at least one sample should be a completed story under the word limit.💀 Page and Spot Artists: At least one piece must include a full background. All pieces must be complete and not be sketches/wips.💀 Merch Artists: At least one piece should be a merch piece that is ready for production. Merch pieces (physical or digital) are preferred but not required.

💀 💀 💀ZINE REQUIREMENTS💀 You must be 18 years or older at time of application submission.💀 All contributors are required to have a Discord account, as that is how all communications for the zine will be handled. Please make sure you can receive messages from zine mods within Discord.💀 All pieces submitted should be created by you. AI art and plagiarism is not allowed and if you are caught doing either you will be removed from the zine. Prior pieces are not allowed either and all pieces must be made during the creation schedule.💀 All contributors are expected to be respectful and behave professionally in the server. We will not look at an applicant's social media presence or their outside work when looking over their application. However, if it becomes known that an application or contributor is producing or promoting content that is discriminatory, exclusionary, or hateful towards real-life groups, they will be removed from the zine.💀 All contributors are expected to adhere to the zine schedule and inform their role mod if they need an extension. Please make sure you can work within the schedule when applying.💀WRITER Requirements💀 All writers are required to create one (1) fic between 1000 and 1500 words for the MAIN zine. (Optional: One Fic up to 1500 words for the add-on shipping/nsfw zine.)💀 You are REQUIRED to work with a spot artist if you are accepted as a writer.💀 All writers will be working with an artist. You are expected to actively communicate with your artist(s) in the Discord channel provided on the status of your piece and any changes that occur. You are expected to share all check-ins with them as well.💀 You are required to submit your final pieces in the format provided by the formatting mod.💀PAGE ARTIST Requirements💀 All PAGE artists are required to create 1 A5 piece for the MAIN zine. (Optional: One Piece for the add-on shipping/nsfw zine.)💀 Your piece must be fully colored and have a background.💀 You are required to submit your piece in the format provided by the formatting mod.💀SPOT ARTIST Requirements💀 All SPOT artists are required to create 1 to 3 spot art pieces for two (2) fics in the zine. (Optional: You can create spot art for an add-on shipping/nsfw zine fic or submit a piece for the add-on shipping/nsfw zine.)💀 You are REQUIRED to work with a writer if you are accepted as a spot artist.💀 Your piece will be based on the writer's pitch. You will not be able to pitch your own idea, but you will be able to pitch which approved writer pitches you want to work on.💀 You are expected to actively communicate with your writer in the Discord channel provided on the status of your piece and any changes that occur. You are expected to share all check-ins with them as well.💀MERCH ARTIST Requirements💀 All MERCH Artists are required to make two (2) pieces for the zine. (Optional: You can create 1 digital merch piece or 1 full piece for the digital or add-on shipping/nsfw zine.)💀 All your pieces must be templated correctly to be sent to production when submitting. Templates will be provided for you. Physical merch types for this zine include: Acrylic Charm, Print, Sticker Sheet, Die-cut sticker, Enamel Pin, Magnet.
